Oscar Nominee Diane Warren Suits Up with the Hedy Boot at the 2021 Oscars
We made it to the 93rd Oscars! Legendary songwriter, passionate animal rights activitist and vegan advocate Diane Warren, rocked VEERAH twice on Hollywood's biggest starlit night.

There’s a first time for everything, and as a sustainable luxury brand, we are overjoyed to share that VEERAH was taken to the Oscars for the very first time! Through AERAID PR and stylist Tanya Gill, acclaimed songwriter and Oscar-nominee, Diane Warren, made our vegan Hedy boot her footwear of choice for the 93rd Academy Awards. Diane was nominated for Best Original Song (alongside Italian singer-songwriter, Laura Pausini) for the song “Io Sì/Seen”, which is featured in the Italian film, “The Life Ahead”. Her 12th nomination to date!

For her Oscar looks, Diane turned to suit dressing and transitioned from one custom-made Valentino pantsuit—the brand’s Creative Director, Pierpaolo Piccioli, designed them specially for her—to another. While attending a special event like this, one pair of heels would be enough to carry you through the evening, but we think that having two (or more!) sounds better. Diane started the night’s festivities off with our Hedy vegan ankle boot in Midnight Black for the pre-show. She then changed into the Hedy in Blanc for her second and final, pristine white ensemble. Can we just say how powerfully cool she looked in our vegan leather boots?

Named after Hollywood icon, Hedy Lamarr, the vegan Hedy boot packs a punch with its sleek yet versatile design that’s chic enough to be worn even on the red carpet. At the moment, we are still pinching ourselves that Diane Warren debuted them at such a prestigious event. Thanks again for rocking our non-leather boots, Diane!
