Celebrities Champion Sustainable Fashion in VEERAH at the 2022 Oscars
We hit another milestone with more celebrities leveling up in sustainable fashion for the big night!
The Academy Awards is the most-anticipated (if not, one of the) awards show every year, and apart from seeing all the nominees and cheering for our favorites, there’s the fashion that’s just as exciting. Hollywood’s A-listers are dressed to the nines in what could be their most memorable looks to cap off awards season. We are thrilled to report that this year, not only were our designer vegan shoes worn at the 94th annual Academy Awards (again!), but also at some of the star-studded Oscar parties. Ahead, check out how hot sustainable fashion looked on tinseltown’s biggest night.
First up, we have the acclaimed singer-songwriter and Oscar-nominee, Diane Warren. She was nominated for Best Original Song for "Somehow You Do" from the movie, Four Good Days. Diane looked cool as ever in her vibrant Dolce and Gabbana suit, quirky Judith Leiber stereo clutch, Sydney Evan jewelry, and her winning VEERAH shoe of choice. This is actually her second time to rock us at the Oscars (last year was the first, in our Hedy vegan boot). Her chosen color this year? The Hedy in Midnight Black.

One of the gorgeous couples who graced the Vanity Fair Oscar after-party was Snake Eyes actor Henry Golding and his wife, TV presenter and double-certified yoga instructor, Liv Lo Golding. Liv went for a sustainable look in an ethically-crafted Jennifer Clair beaded gown, David Yurman jewelry, and our goddess-worthy Venus vegan strappy sandal heels. To say that she’s simply stunning is an understatement.

Next, we have another lovely star couple who attended the Mercedes-Benz Oscar Viewing Party: Sex and the City actor Jason Lewis and fiancée, model-actress Liz Godwin. Liz sparkled in an asymmetrical Aidan Mattox gown paired with our Venus stiletto sandals. It’s clear this striking silhouette is quickly becoming a celebrity fave.

Last but definitely not least, we have supermodel, All Hands and Hearts co-founder and sustainable fashion advocate, Petra Nemcova, who glammed up in pristine white for Elton John AIDS Foundation's 30th Annual Academy Awards Viewing Party. She looked divine in a Jennifer Clair number cut from peace silk and RPET lining with repurposed haberdashery, appliquéd handcrafted flowers, sustainable Swarovski crystals, and recycled aluminum. The VEERAH muse once again finished off her look with our Venus designer vegan heels accessorized with the Rhinestone Crystal Chain.

We are extremely proud to see more and more celebrities going the sustainable route when it comes to their red carpet fashion choices. Here’s to normalizing sustainable fashion at the Oscars and future events in the entertainment industry.
